So embarrassing – so unbelievably embarrassing! By awarding a completely made-up Peace Prize to a highly controversial U.S. President, FIFA once again demonstrates its total lack of moral integrity and an astonishing degree of tactical servility. WHAT exactly is this man receiving this prize for? For what reason?
A prize without transparent criteria, without an independent jury, without any legitimate process – but with maximum, almost grotesque theatrical staging. The awardee even hangs the medal around his own neck, grinning. It hardly gets more symbolic than that.
What remains is the image of an institution that for years has preferred to sell itself to political power rather than assume genuine responsibility. Qatar, Putin – the list of moral failures is long. And the FIFA President keeps adding new low points: a constant courting of political authorities that undermines any serious value orientation.
Football has the power to unite and connect people. But for that, it needs integrity – not decorative awards that serve as rhetorical props. This behavior is a betrayal of everyone who loves this sport.
FIFA tries, once again, to simulate moral depth with symbolic gestures. But lost credibility cannot be restored with glittering ceremonies; it requires genuine values.
Reality paints a bleak picture: a FIFA that has become a pile of arrogance and self-importance, slowly destroying the very sport that generations cherish.
A tragedy for everyone who loves the game. A tragedy for all the children who play it with passion and hope. This FIFA is no role model – it is subterranean submission.

What FIFA is doing now surpasses anything imaginable in terms of absurdity.
I hereby call on the German Football Association (DFB) to take a clear position.
Without an unequivocal stance from the DFB, football is no longer acceptable to me.
